This is Holy Week for Christians around the world. Today is Good Friday. It is the day that died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. Imagine the violations that we have committed against a holy God was paid for by Jesus on the cross.
Last night at Harvey Oaks Baptist Church, we had a Maundy Thursday service, and we participated in the Lord's Supper. It is appropriate to do so during Holy Week because we need to be reminded of why Jesus died on the cross
Before we celebrate the Risen Jesus on Resurrection Sunday, may we soberly reflect on our failings and sins--the very acts and thoughts and words that Jesus died for.
