Are We On Fire For Jesus?

In John Bunyan’s classic book, Pilgrim’s Progress, Interpreter shows Christians a small fire burning against a wall. And there is a man who continuously pours water on the flame, yet the fire only burn hotter and hotter. Interpreter explains to Christian that the man pouring water on the fire is the devil, and goes on to explain the reason why the fire doesn’t go out and actually gets bigger. Behind the wall is another man secretly pouring oil on the same fire. Interpreter then says to Christian that the man behind the wall is Jesus and “with the oil of His grace, He continually maintains the work already begun in the heart of His people.”
